The inhabitants of a territory
In recent years, the EMC² (Enquêtes Mobilité Certifiées Cerema) have replaced the EMD (Enquêtes Ménages Déplacements), EDVM (Enquêtes Déplacements Villes Moyennes) and EDGT (Enquêtes Déplacements Grands Territoires). The methodology for these major public inquiries was developed by Cerema (Centre d’études et d’expertise sur les risques, l’environnement, la mobilité et l’aménagement). They are usually carried out face-to-face and/or by telephone on a sample ranging from 1% to 4% of the population in the target area.
TEST is the institute that has carried out the largest number of these certified studies over the last 15 years. The “Habitants” division and its operational teams have worked in over forty French cities, both in mainland France and overseas. TEST has built up a wealth of expertise in setting up and monitoring these heavy-duty systems for surveying residents in areas ranging from local communities to regional authorities, in mainland France and overseas.
As an expert in mobility measurement, TEST is able to intervene anywhere in France on other subjects requiring the use of face-to-face and/or telephone interviewers, in order to capture reliable data that can feed into public authorities’ reflections on the administration of their territory.
